Meru Yoga Mat Bag

Yes, this bag cannot be beat, I believe! It is made of high-quality fabric, feels velvety to the touch, yet is very sturdy. The bag can hold even a very thick mat. I love that I can either unzip it all the way and have total access to the inner pockets, or when in a hurry, just zip open the top and "top-load" my mat into it. I have the green bag, but that is just a matter of color preference. The other two options are certainly just as great! It carries nicely on the shoulder, and in my car, it just hangs over the passenger head rest, down behind the seat, so I can grab it when I get out. The little zipper pocket at one end is very nice: I put my car keys in that one, while I practice, and when I'm done with yoga, my membership card goes into that pocket. The inside is doubled with a second fabric, and the breathing holes and aeration web at the other end of the bag are good ideas, too. All in all, it is a perfect bag! I don't think I'll ever need another! REVISION OCTOBER 2017 I said I was sure I never needed another bag, but ...after barely three years of usage, where it stayed permanently put inside my car (which I alone use), where it sat all by itself on the back seats between yoga practices, is now "kaputt". I am a very thorough person, and my gear lasts many years, because I take care of not mistreating it. Despite all the care, two zippers are now completely out of order: the small zipper on the end pocket, and the long zipper to enclose the mat in the main part of the bag. The bag fabric looks still OK, but it is useless without closure. When I guide the zipper across the teeth, they become unraveled immediately, without even lifting the bag. This is a disappointment, as the rest of the bag is still in top condition. But, taking the broken zipper out and replacing it is not worth the time and effort!
