Great Bag, Great Price!

My son loves this bag! We went camping, it got into the lower 40s and he said he was plenty warm. He's an average sized 6 year old, and it was pretty huge on him, but snug enough that he could stay warm. I will say, I thought it would be a bit larger, but I think its exactly 5' long, I don't think a 5' child would actually fit in it. But, he's got plenty of room to grow, and hopefully his little brother can use it after. The stuff sack has a strap so he can carry it on his shoulder. And it stuffs down to a pretty good size, if he wanted, he could hike with it, though i doubt the cub scouts will do too many grueling hikes.

Nice, but I prefer the Kelty Little Tree

I bought one of these and one Kelty Little Tree (roughly $60) for my 9 year old and tall 5 year old. This Coleman seems fine, but it has enough small issues that I returned it and replaced it with another Kelty. Here's why:It's five feet long- my tall five year old will be at the very end of this in just a couple years once he's tucked in and stretched out. The Kelty is 5'4" and looks like it will fit by 9 year old at least partway through her teens.It doesn't get back into it's pack very easily- we tried rolling and stuffing, and it's not as easy to get in there as the Kelty is. Hoping the kids will do this themselves, or at least mostly, so Kelty wins this one too.Lastly, when it is packed up, the Kelty is smaller! These sleeping bags were upgrades for us from the old huge-when-rolled-up 1990 cheap sleeping bags we had before, so anything is smaller than those, but I love how compact the Kelty ones are once in their little sacks, and easier for kids to carry because of it.
