A comfy Birkenstock dupe
By DLS Jones on Reviewed in the United States on April 6, 2016
These sandals are a great dupe for Birkenstocks. They look great and fit true to size. They do have adjustable straps so if your feet are wide or narrow you have the option of changing them for a more comfortable fit. They provide adequate arch support and are therefore comfy enough to wear all day. I purchased this silver color for the spring and summer, mainly to wear with white boyfriend jeans and cigarette pants. They will also look great with regular denim and maxi dresses. Birkenstocks are really in, thanks to the current obsession with 70s chic, but I didn't want to shell out a premium price for sandals that I won't wear all that often. I have resisted buying this style of sandal because I feared they would make my feet look like tugboats. However, this pair doesn't do that at all and my feet look don't look tremendous in them. These sandals are very comfortable to walk in so they'll be great for festivals and art shows or any event that requires a lot of steps. They are also quite flexible which means they don't put any stress on the balls of my feet or on my heels. The quality is really good, especially for shoes that aren't leather. They look just like the Birkenstock Arizona style and I don't think anyone would notice that they're not the real deal. The soles are not quite as thick as the Birks but that is just me being extremely picky about details. This shoe is a really great buy and I'm so glad I found them here on Amazon. I like everything about them and if they only last one season, that's fine with me. I rarely wear the same sandals from season to season, especially if they're not leather. But for $15 these shoes are a great deal and I'm stoked that I found a decent Birkenstock dupe at such a reasonable price. If you're on the fence, consider this: Birkenstocks are usually upwards of $100 and if you don't think you'll be wearing them for years to come, then purchase this Steve Madden dupe. I seriously doubt that fashion will be obsessed with 70s styles next year so it's likely that this style will be obsolete. That's fine with me. I personally will not be rocking 70s fashion next year. I grew up in the 70s and this shoe is my homage to that era. The general rule is that if you were around when the original look was in vogue, you shouldn't be wearing in the second go around. This shoe and a pair of flare jeans are as far as I'm taking the 70s revival, but I won't be wearing the two together. I just wanted a flat silver sandal to wear with my white distressed boyfriend jeans and a pair of white skinny pants. This pair will do nicely for both. I highly recommend them.

Nice looking sandal, but perhaps too much arch support
By EW on Reviewed in the United States on September 1, 2023
I really wanted to like this sandal. Admittedly, I do not typically purchase a sandal without a back or ankle strap, but I wanted an easy, comfortable, supportive sandal that I could easily slide on and off.The good is that the sandal is cute and there is a lot of arch support. However, it may be too much arch support for a sandal that does not have a back or ankle strap.... what I mean is that the minute I started attempting to walk with them, my feet fell out of the sandal. It felt like the arch support pushed my foot out of the sandal. The sandal is also a bit shorter than expected. My foot completely fit on the sandal, but I'm thinking that if it was a little bit longer, maybe my foot would stay in it a little better? Still, it wasn't worth me trying a different size. Of note, I'm typically a size 6.5, which is the size I ordered, and am now returning.
