Great value even two years later!

I purchased this air mattress for when I traveled to friends and family’s houses. It meant I could take my own bed, own sheets, and knew what kind of sleep I would be getting. It’s big enough that my small child could sleep with me as well. It is easy set up. It is also pretty easy breaking it down and getting it back in the bag. Getting it in the carry bag does require some patience and you have to really fold it up nicely to make it fit accurately, but not impossible. I recommend really paying attention to how it’s folded the first time that you take it out to use it. I can say that I have now had it for a little over two years and I still love it! I am a larger woman and the first two years it never leaked any air. Granted I really only used it for travel and guests so that equals about 21-25 sleeps a year. It’s a nice firm sleep and I always slept very well on it no matter where I was and so have my guests. Now two years later I have had to sleep on it more frequently because I was moving. I have had to sleep on it for about the last 7 weeks and it does leak air now. I fill it before bed and 6-7 hours later it has leaked about 20-25%. It’s like the difference between extra firm and extra soft pillow top. What’s great is that you can just reach up and click the switch and inflate it while your still in it if need be. I will be back in my bed soon, but this has definitely gotten the job done. I will probably replace it soon, but I have been impressed with its quality. It fits queen size sheets well. I will say that flannel sheets seem to fit it better and give a more comfortable sleep. They just slide less than regular sheets on it. The carry bag leaves enough space that you can keep the sheets folded on top of the bed too which is nice when you are traveling. Oh and the height is great! My dad slept in it when he visited and he’s 6’3” with arthritis and it was high enough for him to get in and out of and be comfortable. He’s also a bigger guy and he was comfortable and felt supported. I hope this helps because I think it’s been a great bed!

Feeling deflated :(

I bought this product because the listing appeared to be for the same air mattress I had purchased while living overseas. My friend had lived with me for over a month and stayed on the mattress with no problems. She said it was super comfortable. At one point it got a hole, she patched it up, and no problems, did not leak at all. Based on durability and comfort, I thought I’d buy the same again when I moved to US. This mattress, however, is not the same, despite being listed as the same version for the US. The topping is not as plush or comfortable, it’s much thinner. Also, the sides in some pics are velvety (which was true of my former mattress) but the bed I received has plasticy sides which aren’t as nice. And, most importantly, the bed is not comfortable as it does not stay inflated. The frustrating thing is the instructions say that it will seem like it’s not holding air at first and you need to give it 5 uses or so to let it stretch out, etc. Basically, this seems like a way of making you think the product isn’t faulty until it’s too late to return. If like me you are purchasing for the occasional guest to sleep on when they come visit for a night, you won’t have your 5 uses racked up for several months or more, and then it’s too late to return. I am now at the point where it’s had it’s uses, and it’s still not retaining air. My sister recently came to stay, she blew up the mattress and 15 mins later had to top it up again. She asked if she could sleep on the couch instead. The same friend who stayed with me overseas on the other air mattress for over a month is coming to visit and she has already offered to buy a new bed, because the last time she stayed here the mattress kept deflating and was so uncomfortable. This is a waste of money. You are better off buying an aerobed (in a sale if price point is an issue). My 6’3 250lb husband and I slept on an air mattress for a week recently at my brother’s house, did not have to reinflate once the entire time, he said was an aerobed. Stayed at a friends for a week same thing, she said was also an aerobed. Basically this product is not worth it, look elsewhere. I’ve seen aerobeds advertised for same price in Black Friday sales, so that’s where I’ll be looking, although I’m annoyed I’ll have to be paying for another air mattress so soon. But I really don’t want my guests dreading to come and visit me, so needs must!
