Shakespeare Ugly Stik 5’10” Spinning Rod

I bought two of these rods as gifts for my sons. The rods look good, and I have good experiences with ugly stik in the past. I have ordered several rods from various manufacturers in the past from other retailers and they have always arrived in a box or rod tube. When UPS delivered them, the driver told me “I’m amazed they made it here in one piece.” They were not in a box, or rod tube. They were only in the plastic sleeve that ugly stik put on them. The bottom of the plastic sleeve was not even sealed so they were dusty and dirty on the handles. I couldn’t believe that’s how they were shipped and not damaged. I would not risk ordering another rod from Amazon again if that’s how they are shipped. It’s a Good rod, but I would look elsewhere, just far too risky with the shipping.
