Best bang for your buck

I have the all size Mitchell reels. I have been using them for over 10 years. I rinse, grease and oil at the end of every season and haven’t had an issue. I have these on all of my son’s rods as well and don’t have any issues. These reels are bulletproof. I can’t believe anyone doesn’t give them 5 stars. There is no better reel for the money!!

Cheap Cheap Reel

Very disappointed in the Mitchell 308 reel. These used to be excellent reels but they aren't anymore. The reel is cheaply made and is there's nothing smooth about it. I had to continuly tighten the reel handle because it kept coming loose and it's simply feels sloppy when reeling in, especially if you're reeling in a fish. My cheap Shakespear reels are more durable than the Mitchell 308. I wish I wouldn't have wasted my money on this reel. There's much, much better reels out there at this price range.
