I have a number of Morakniv sizes and colors, both stainless and carbon blade, and I have always been pleased with them. I use them exclusively in the kitchen and around the house, so don't know how they might hold up in the bush or at the campsite. But I would bet they do fine for light to medium work. They stay sharp and are easy to clean, and take a touch up sharpening well. And they have one of the best, ergonomic handles I have experienced. Only thing people comment on is the sheath, which is plastic? and of a sort of weird shape compared to what a lot of people envision. But again, they seem substantial, hold the knife well, and are certainly waterproof. So, I do recommend these for the light to medium tasks both indoors and outdoors. And also for the good value they offer in a general utility knife.

Bought as "NEW" but one knife, of 2 ordered, obviously is NOT "NEW" or in new condition upon arrival (Pictures)

Morakniv Companion Fixed Blade Outdoor Knife with Sandvik Stainless Steel Blade, 4.1-Inch, Green OK I bought 2 of these and one of the two knives was obviously sharpened badly by a customer and returned. PHOTOS to prove it so please don't delete this review again. I'm very disappointed with my order but I'm not going to bother returning the bad knife. One of the photos shows the Gunk on the tip that I'm guessing is from the sharpening stone a former customer tried using on it before returning? Another couple photos show the condition of the blade. One, I captured the factory grind lines visible on one side of the blade that should be on both sides, the other I captured part of the customer(?) sharpening job. This same knife has a small ding in the edge but it was hard to photograph and every one of them came out blurry but I'm including it. I'm also including the picture where they stopped sharpening the one side which might be why the gunk is crusted on the tip.(But that is speculation on my part. I really don't know what the black gunk is) The other knife in the order was also received with a stocking or inventory? sticker over the Mora factory sticker on the sheath but appears to be in new condition and gets 5 stars. Overall these are great knives I'd recommend them to anyone, BUT I wanted others to know of my experience because these green ones were intended to both be gifts. I already gifted the good one and they LOVE it. My review is one star because I am really disappointed
