Great Flashlight! Excellent company!
By Tim Houk on Reviewed in the United States on March 15, 2015
I was very skeptical ordering this flashlight with all of the mixed reviews. Some of the reviews that were low rated talked about the flashlight not working after a day or so. I received this flashlight and was very happy with the packaging, overall integrity and brightness of the flashlight. I am a boiler inspector and inspect in darker areas everyday so this flashlight was great. Turns out the next day the flashlight would not work. I am not going to lie I was very upset with it because I really liked the flashlight and was more depressed that I had to go back to my old flashlight. Basically I started out going through the Amazon return process. This was not something I wanted to do because I received the flashlight in two days and it was not going to be another week or two to have my money refunded. Instead of taking that route I contacted EcoGear FX. I explained the situation to the customer service representative by email. The next day I received an email from EcoGear FX stating that they were sending me a replacement with two day shipping and that the flashlight had been tested. I was very happy with the customer service and the flashlight now works great. So for anyone who has placed a negative review on this flashlight I ask you if you talked to the company? My experience with EcoGear FX was excellent and I couldn't ask for better service. Now for the flashlight. The flashlight seems very durable and well constructed. In the short time I have had it I have dropped it more than once without any negative impacts. There are different light modes on the flashlight. I could do without the strobe or SOS for my line of work but they are there and I am sure some people have a use for them. The bright mode is very bright and I reguraly use the focus on the light depending on the situation. I am still on my first battery and have not had to charge the batteries again. If you get a bad battery contact EcoGear FX and I am sure they will send you a knew one. I am giving this flashlight 5 stars because I really like the flashlight. If it were a week ago I would have given it one but thanks to the excellent customer service I received from EcoGear FX I am very satisfied. They did not hesitate to send a new one nor did they question me about the situation. I highly recommend EcoGear FX and the flashlight.

Small Lamp with a Powerful Light
By Stas R on Reviewed in the United States on February 12, 2014
This little light has excellent brightness. I can't attest to it's water resistant qualities yet, but so far, this light is perfect for my needs. It comes with a small keychain LED that is solar-powered. Good for finding a keyhole (but not bright enough for task work). The flashlight is small (5.5 inches long x 1.375 inches wide), so can fit easily into a handbag. It uses both AAA batteries (3) and an included 3000m Ah 3.7 Volt Lithium Ion rechargeable battery (charger included). The positive end of the battery is inserted first into the battery compartment. For the AAA battery holder, insert the protruding metal tip end first. The flashlight offers a few different light settings that are accessed after you turn the light on, by gently pressing the on/off button without 'clicking' the button fully, to yield in succession: hi intensity light, low intensity light, fast strobe, 3 fast flash - 3 slow flash - 3 fast flash Morse Code SOS strobe. For some reason, the Lithium Ion battery did allow proper functioning of the various strobes. The light settings are somewhat sensitive to the pressure you apply to the button. That means that sometimes, for example, if you go from the OFF position to ON position in the HI light setting, when you turn the light off, then on again, you may be in the HI setting, or you may have switched to the MED setting inadvertently when you turn the light off. A little annoying. The Zoom feature allows you to narrow the light beam while increasing the intensity. Great if you need extra light for close-up work - blindingly bright at the closest zoom! At it's widest beam, if you stand, for example, 4' from a wall, the diameter of the footprint is about 5' (which is a decent size lighted area). The further from the wall, the larger the footprint, but the intensity decreases, as you would imagine. It feels really sturdy and appears to be a quality tool. The one thing I would have added to this package is a case to keep the flashlight in, something brightly colored (e.g. hazard orange or yellow) so that it's easy to find in a bag.
