Petered out in less than a year
By Hildi on Reviewed in the United States on May 13, 2022
I ordered this 7/2021. It’s 5/2022. The flashlight and taser functions have started to give out. I’ll be walking the dogs when it’s dark and the flashlight will turn off and turn back on. The stun function has failed on me a couple of times too when the flashlight function is on. I had an identical model before the one I bought in 2021 and the same thing happened after about a year. I just bought another brand to replace this flashlight/stunner (whatever it’s called). It’s durable and a good sturdy weight. If you needed to strike someone with it, like when the stun function fails, it might deter an attacker if you were to hit the temple or eye. The flashlight beam is decent until it starts to go out. The wrist strap could be sturdier; it snapped after about 6 months and I rarely used the wrist strap. The item is too heavy for that skinny strap. A fully-charged light indicator or replaceable battery would be handy too.

do not buy this product. ripoff

before i made this purchase, i watched as many videos as i could find online about it and read pretty much everything there was to read about it. i felt pretty confident that it was going to be a worthwhile purchase. well, i haven't been this disappointed with a purchase in a long time. here's why: 1. it did not come with the mentioned wristband thing. so that led me to believe that this was a return item or somehow previously openend. but i could live with that....whatever. 2. the charger that it comes with does not seem to work properly. there's a light on the piece that plugs into the outlet. well if you plug it into the outlet first and then the strikelight, it just stays solid green. if you plug it into the strikelight first and then the outlet, it just keep blinking red and green...which you would think that means it's charging, but it NEVER stops. i mean it will blink for days..as long as it's plugged in. so you never really know if this thing is charging / fully charged. not cool. 3. after pressing the taser button a few times, the arc will get weaker and weaker. so you think "oh it must need to be charged more"...which is imposible to really determine because of item 2 above. so after charging for an entire day i tried to use it. nothing, nada, it did not work. couple hours later it decided to start arcing, but only on one side. and very occasionally. like if you hold the taser button down, you'll get about 2 "pops" in 5 seconds or so...and like i said, that's only on one side. so the bottom line is this thing sucks. even if someone has one that seems to work fine, i'd still be concerned that these things have the tendancy to crap out on you. i would never want to rely on this thing in a compromising situation. i live in the heart of new orleans, so i bought this for my girlfriend to carry on her (since people are getting held up at gunpoint on a daily basis). looks cool, the idea is cool, but i dont trust it. i'm getting my $123.04 (which should have been a giveaway it was bogus from the price) refunded to me and getting an actual taser. not this flashlight wannabe. super disappointed. do not buy this product. you'd have better luck defending yourself the good ol fashioned way with your fists.
