Great Whistle

This whistle is a solid choice. The stainless steel construction feels sturdy and durable, which is important for me since I'm pretty rough on equipment. The lanyard is handy and keeps it from getting lost. The sound is loud and clear, no problem getting everyone's attention. Overall, I'm happy with it.

Not recommended for sports. Works ok for getting attention, but doesn't work great.

For my use, I certainly do no need a loud whistle. I bought this to give a warning to my girl scout group of 20 young girls when they get too loud or out of line. I wanted something that would be loud and get their attention.It does the job it needs to do, but my complaint is that you have to blow a certain way to get it to blow correctly. If you blow too hard, it actually barely blows and you can feel the little ball in there just jumping around. If you blow softly, it will whistle, but not real loud. You have to blow soft, but yet have enough air to create a loud whistle and if you blow too much then it cuts out.I guess I shouldn't have to worry about how to blow a whistle. . . I should be able to just blow into it and have it do its intended job. For the price, I cannot complain too much.If you need this for sports, I would look elsewhere.
