Awesome Mat for Pilates

I got this for my wife for Christmas and she really likes it. It is more suited to pilates than most yoga mats and is longer. Wonderful gift

is mine used?

I really like this mat, but the one i got looks used. we have this in our gym and it didn’t have the white stuff at the back of the mat. it looks like it’s been drag in the floor, and the logo at the back looks like it’s faded. the other side is fine and almost shiny and that’s why i can tell it looks different. the other thing i noticed is that no matter how much wiping i do with water and paper towel, the white stuff just comes back when it dries is this normal? i would like to give this a five star if someone can just address this whole thing.
