Coolest gadget I have ever owned!

This thing is unbelievable! I can't believe it works so well. I was half expecting this thing not to work since most of my training aids have disappointed me. I have always wanted to buy a simulator but at $70000 that was out of the question. I rented a 2 hour session on an HD simulator to compare the swingbyte to the simulator stats and it was spot on. The swingbyte not only gave me accurate numbers but showed me the arcs of my backswing and forward swing which was even more helpful than the numerical data. To be honest I am shocked this technology is here. I didn't think this kind of accuracy was possible for another 10 or 20 years down the road. It is small and so simple to use. It immediately synced with my ipad and I was hitting balls within 5 minutes after opening the box. I own countless golf training aids that are now collecting dust in the attic but this thing is now my number one training aid. My Dad and bro are definitely getting one for Christmas. This is by far my best purchase ever.

Not bad, but still needs improving

I know that I am reviewing a first generation swingbyte and there is already a second version out, but here goes: Overall, I am happy with the purchase. It does what it advertises - reads my swing, tells me (to certain degree) if what I am doing is good or can be improved. However, a few cons: 1 - It is prone to slipping out of position and needs to be constantly checked if it is properly aligned (I believe they have fixed that in the newest version of the tool). 2 - The numbers seem a bit odd sometimes, and lack consistence. Other than that, I think still think is is a good tool to have to improve your game.
