AMAZING MUG!!!!!!!

AMAZING MUG!!! I have purchased so many other travel coffee mugs and I wish I would have found this one sooner. Keeps hot drinks hot for hours and cold drinks cold for hours. Extremely leak proof and heavy/durable. Very easy to clean too, it comes completly apart and can be put in the dishwasher too. Thier lifetime warranty is hands down amazing....I accidentally melted one of the inner pieces in the dishwasher and even though it was my fault it broke, they replaced the entire mug in three days, no charge. They stand by thier products! I know for a fact that stanley brand will last for years, we own another stanley mug that a family member bought in 1978 and it still works beautifully! Just one suggestion to buy a dish washer bottle basket to put all the smaller pieces in so they don't get loose and melt like my original one did. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS MUG!!!

Not Your Dad's Indestructible Thermos

If, like me, you had a father whose Stanley thermos went with him everywhere and barely had a scratch your entire childhood, you were overjoyed to find that the same company also made a more 21st century appropriate vacuum mug for all us millennials out there. My thinking was- same quality, only more convenient (and sexier). However, it was not to be.The Pro: it stays hot for a VERY long time. Like wait up in the morning and the coffee from last night is still hot long time. The other seeming pro is the mechanism on the lid to allow the coffee to flow: you just hold it down and as soon as you release it, it shuts it off.The Con: The above-mentioned mechanism breaks very easily. In fact, I'm now on my third Stanley vacuum mug with one year. From what I can tell, there's a small plastic part within the mechanism that breaks pretty easily, rendering the entire mug useless. The good news is that Amazon is great about replacing it, the bad news is they shouldn't have to.Other Con: I both tried calling Stanley and emailed them to complain about this and no response. I expected better.
