Rio Beach 4-Position Steel Backpack Chair

I read all the reviews and almost didn't purchase it because so many said it was of poor quality and not like the older versions. However, for the price, I took it over the ones that got all 5 star reviews from people who had gotten for their "true and unbiased review." ANd I really loved one satisfied customers cynical response to those who said it was "too narrow" and that the cup holder was "a joke" not to mention it was "cheaply constructed." At 97 pounds, I was sure I would have no problem with the width. I held my breath when I opened the box, expecting sharp, rough edges and dented aluminum supports. Everything was perfect! I removed the plastic covering from the wooden arms, no rough edges. It opened easily and smoothly changed to 4 different reclining levels. The backpack will easily hold my sketchbook and drawing and painting supplies. As soon as I stood up from my chair, one of my two cats promptly took my place; and, when he got up, his brother took his place. My husband found one thread that had been dropped in the stitching of the side handle (you can use this to carry it if you are just heading out to the yard and not taking it for a hike) and he snipped that off. I have enjoyed this chair since I received it and highly recommend it to any who want a comfortable, portable chair. Mine is used for lunching on the deck and hiking off to find vistas and wildflowers to paint in the Adirondacks. SO much to paint, so little time!
