Working well!

I have a meniscus tear that is causing some pain as I walk. The KT tape is working well in alleviating much of the pain. There are some good videos on You Tube that are very helpful also in applying the tape exactly where you need to.

Water resistant not water proof
By Chemicalclowns on Reviewed in the United States on January 5, 2024
So I'm training for my first 15k and being I'm a slower runner I've been outside runing for over an hr each session whereas for my other races it was like 2.5 hrs max a week. Anyways I've noticed some weakness in my right ankle and since these were on sale I wanted to try switching from a cotton offbrand variety to this one and I gotta say I was super impressed at first- it wasn't terribly thick and I spilt a bit of water on it right after application quite a few times just to get a shot of how the water beaded ontop of it since it just kept rolling off. Loved that! I slept in it with a sock and had no issue with rolling despite tossing all night and the top ankle strips were exposed. Now my morning run put it to the test and I immediately noticed when I removed my socks (after an hour of running) it had begun rolling just a little. I was able to lay it flat again but then I jumped in the shower. I hate to say it did not pass the shower test. Idk if its because it was literally getting soaked because it was on my foot or what but I feel the water repellant had worn off from my run with it in my sock n shoe so there was literally no saving it- i felt it as I was showering detaching on the bottom of my foot and when I got out I took a photo of what I saw. With a very gentle tug the whole thing removed very easily and without pain, leaving no marks behind.Pros are I did love the premade strips and how stretchy these were. I liked the water repellant even if it wasn't water proof. I also like that when I did remove it I had no marks left on me where as the off brand I use leaves red welts even if I got it wet with water. I do like that they didnt get dirty from walking in my house barefoot and I do feel had it stuck to me better it would have dried relatively fast.Cons is obviously it wont last more than one day for me since it cant withstand a shower and I got it for my ankle. This contradicts the box and product description stating you can get up to 7 days out of it. Unfortunate. You also only get 20 strips- this gives me 6 applications of 3 strips with two left over at the end for ankle stability. So if I want to wear this for a week the box would last me... a week.. not a great price per roll.Would I use this again? Probably because I like the quality but in the future I'd also only get it on sale like I did now. I also feel you should be tactical when chosing when to put this on. Probably wait till it got noticeably bad- like sore but not yet injured. Id say put it on after working out and showering and if you can wear it for a whole rest day (so if you can skip a shower without stinking) and into your next session. This would help keep bloodflow up and swelling down on the area for 24 hours then help with stability for your next run run.
