Excellent product

I've been a leather holster man all my life. I go back to the days that with a new holster, your would grease up the gun, soak the holster in hot water, jam the gun down into the holster, and put it out in the sun long enough for everything to dry out and let the leather shrink and mold itself to the gun. But I really like this rig. It is well made, fits my Glock perfectly, and the assembly instructions were reasonably good. The mechanism that secures the weapon in the holster works perfectly, with an easy release, and with the index finger automatically in position above and off the trigger as the weapon is drawn. l also like the adjustable height and cant features. I like the option for paddle or belt carry, but I would like it to be easier to switch between the two.

Bad With Internal NcSTAR Laser

It's a good starter holster for a security officer. Let me explain: This is an active retention holster as opposed to a passive whereby you need to activate a release mechanism to release the firearm which I'm assuming you already know. That is good if you are active duty military or police personnel who may encounter a situation where you are fighting for your handgun, but you HAVE to practice to get it just right. If your fingers are long then they don't align with the detention button very well. My little Glock 27 has an internal laser from NcSTAR whereby the actuation switch sticks out ever so slightly from the receiver however it catches in the release mechanism of this holster. Although still usable, it makes it very hard to draw reliably. I want to like this but it is not for my particular needs as I do not practice enough and like I said, the very popular and expensive internal laser make it an issue. I will not return it but I am throwing it in with my box of misfit holsters. "Remember the island of misfit toys from Rudolf the Red-nosed Reindeer?"...Just thought I'd add that.
