Awesome sunglasses and awesome seller!!

I never have written a review before this but after purchasing this product from seller TheAspecs, I feel obligated to! Firstly I would like to briefly mention that the sunglasses themselves are great! I would definitely say that these Persols take the cake as my favorite out of all of my other shades, besides the look and appeal, the quality of the glasses is phenomenal, the craftsmanship is great, you can see right away that they are made to last and build from the finest materials, built strong and if treated right will last a long time, you get what you pay for and there's a reason why these are on the upscale class of sunglasses and why so many celebrities wear them, their luxurious and will always be a classic staple item that will never go out of style! Now, for the seller that I purchased these from, TheAspecs, their customer service was outstanding and so refreshing to work with!! Michelle was so sweet and patient and was extremely helpful making sure to answer all my questions and help with any requests I had! I decided to exchange the pair for the 714's (pretty much look the same except the 714's are made to fold), Michelle was very understanding and gladly sent the 714's to me with a prepaid return label to sent back the 649's. They are a small company, it was so refreshing to deal with a mom and pops type shop who actually showed that they care about their customers and respect them and appreciate their business, I can assure you that if I had purchased these from a big brand company, I would NOT have gotten the same treatment and care! Not to mention I would have not paid as low as I did for these glasses! I paid basically half for them of what I would have spent at any retailer, and I can assure you that the product is 100% authentic! Comes with the tags, case, stickers, certificate of authenticity and all! I would purchase from them again with pleasure and would recommend anyone else to buy from them in a heartbeat!

After reading the other reviews I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt. My glasses arrived, and directly out of the box I noticed that one of the henges was very loose. I took to Sunglasses Hut to have tightened and sized. They said the screws were damaged and unable to be tightened. The also said the frames appear to be worn, or damaged - they were unable to size/adjust them due to this issue. They advised me to get my money back. It now seems that the henge may even break at some point. I don’t recommend purchasing. Highly highly do not recommend. It’s a big let down, and a big waste of money.

I was a little suspicious when I saw the price on these. I got an extraordinary deal on these glasses from this supplier Sunglass Express. I don't know why but I have some idea. The case was not as strong as a case I got with a previous pair of Persols I bought a few weeks ago. It was flimsy plastic as opposed to hard plastic. The glasses appeared to have been worn and were probably returned by another buyer or were a demo pair in a display case. The hinges were looser, although the lenses were perfect. In all, I'm very satisfied and saved over a hundred dollars on these glasses. They appear genuine in every way and I compared them to what I know to be an authentic pair by staring at the reflection of my pool late in the afternoon. They are definitely polarized and the optics are good. The brown lenses allow in more light than the grey/green lenses and make the landscape appear brighter, but are still very protective. I am happy with my purchase.

These are absolutely some of the best looking and functioning shades I have ever owned. I am a long time collector of present day and vintage sunglasses and have always wanted to own a pair of the Persol 649s. However, operating under the credo of "never pay full price for anything," I decided that the lower Amazon price points were within my comfort zone. If possible, I recommend going to a retailer and trying the 649s on before buying online, because the sizing seems quite different than what you might expect from Ray Ban and Maui Jim. I selected the smaller 52 mm lens with a 135 mm temple, and the glasses just did not feel as secure as they should. So, to remedy that, I tried to reorder the 52 mm with a 145 mm temple from Amazon's providers. I was unsucessful because I do not think that combination is available, so I asked my optometrist to order the 145 mm temples from Persol. After the appropriately sized temples were added, the fit was perfect. In addition to the look and feel of the 649s, the Persol polarization is very soothing to the eyes, and improves the way you see the world. They were worth the hassle.

I lost my P0649s in the ocean, so I ordered these. I fully expected them to be fake, but figured the worst outcome was I return them. They are real, high quality, with crystal lenses. Only differences - different case than Sunglass Hut gives you (who cares) and for some reason the etching in the lenses wasn’t sanded properly so it kinda grabs the microfiber cloth (who cares). This is definitely the way to go if you want Persols and don’t want to drop $350

Persol's are always quality, however the description did say that these would be polarized lenses, which they are not. Besides that one downside these are a spectacular pair of glasses and cheaper than any competitor out there.

The fit and quality are perfect. No issues with shipping or frames needing adjusting. Fit perfect right out of the box. I’ll take them to get prescription lenses. This is my fourth pair of Persol frames between my prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses and I’ll continue to go with Persol. Classy and comfortable.

Bought these for myself, and while I do enjoy wearing them and pretending I'm Steve McQueen, there are some pitfalls. Perhaps it's the "handmade" aspect, but despite the price, I'm not blown away by the build quality or finishing. Too much glue was applied while installing the hinges, forcing it to ooze out and dry. The acetate lacks a nice mirror polish you may expect and has some marring right from the factory, which will only increase with use. The "Victorflex" system, essentially a flexible bridge, was poorly polished, having some jagged edges and sharp surfaces. The frames also weigh a considerable amount, likely due in part to the size and materials used, leaving a mark on my nose after prolonged wear. Where these sunglasses really shine though are the lenses. Made from glass (not plastic like most), they are both polarized, reducing glare, and photo-chromatic, adjusting darkness based on light. Both work well, with a noticeable but unobtrusive difference between indoor and outdoor use. I do wish the lenses provided a bit more contrast (a product of the color), but the rose tint is easy on the eyes and reduces strain.

These sunglasses look incredible, and as expected, Persol lives up to its reputation for style and quality. However, the frames became noticeably loose after about a year of light use. Because of the plastic frame construction, I couldn’t tighten or adjust them, and eventually, they broke entirely. I’m disappointed, as I truly love the design and had hoped they would last much longer. I purchased them through Amazon and have been unable to get in touch with the seller for a repair or replacement. I’d greatly appreciate any help in resolving this. I’d love to continue wearing Persol, but I need some support from the seller to make that possible.

Product as described. Full retail kit with case, cleaning cloth, warranty card and Persol box. Shipment was originally delayed. However, Amazon vendor received order directly from Luxottica in Italy as box was inside box. Vendor expedited shipment to me once they received from Italy. A lot of persons are hesitant to buy Persols online as they believe they may be knock offs. I have ordered 4 pairs of Persols in the past year and they have all been authentic. Do your research on the style, size, frame color and lens in advance.
