Stable and secure rack
By Hot Mama on Reviewed in the United States on January 24, 2025
I bought the version of the rack with two "shelves" and 8 side slots. It was very simple to put together (my 8-year-old wanted to help me and even he was saying how easy it was!). It came with everything needed to install the hardware, although I did choose to use my own adjustable wrench to hold the nuts in order to tighten the bolts with the allen wrench. After reading reviews, I chose this rack because the free weights I have are the hex kind; they all fit anywhere on the rack. I also liked how the side slots are open in between with enough space that a barbell can be picked up with one hand, unlike other racks for sale where a person would need to hold each end of one barbell (using both hands) to remove it or put it on the side of the rack. I didn't notice any strong odors from the rack or the packaging. The unit was very stable once all the bolts were tightened. It looks like it will hold up for a long time. *Update: I have bought a few heavier sets of dumbbells and noticed that dumbbells 20 lb or over will not fit on the sides slots if you try to set multiple weights of that size (or more) right above or beneath them. So you could space heavier weights with an empty spot between them or you have to use smaller dumbbells to go above or beneath the ones 20+ lbs. On the horizontal rack, two 35 dumbbells take up enough space that they must be paired with 15 lb (or lower) dumbbells. I won't be able to fit a set of 30 lb and 35 lb together on the same horizontal rack. Still a great rack, but it might take some finagling to figure out the best positioning for each set of dumbbells so they can easily be removed and put back. It can fit about 8 total pairs of varying-weight dumbbells.

Does the job, but be aware of a few things
By Brett on Reviewed in the United States on January 6, 2025
This is not meant for large weights.... it is more suited for the cute, little, brightly colored, very light weights. There is not enough clearance between the weights on the side slots if you put anything larger than 15 LBs on the side. Note in the picture I had to leave a side slot empty because the weights would interfere. And putting the larger weights on the sides encroaches on the middle section and that limits what you can put in the middle. That said, I did get all my weights on the rack, but it is not efficient. Also note (second picture) that the powder coat comes off very very easily if you have weights with the knurled grips. This picture is after I set the weights on once. I assume that my hands will be black for a few times until all the powder coat is scraped off. I hope the rack does not rust. I might put black duct tape on the rails to limit the scratching. Not sure what I could do on the side slots. There is not a lot of room for your fingers when replacing the weights on the rack - watch out for pinched fingers. Overall the rack is easy to assemble and seems sturdy. I'll post more after a few weeks of use. Hope this review was helpful!
