Experience Ultimate Comfort with the Coleman WeatherMaster 6-Person Tent
By Shachar Perkal on Reviewed in the United States on April 10, 2025
During our recent camping trip, we used the Coleman WeatherMaster 6-Person Tent with Screen Room and were thoroughly impressed. The tent’s spacious interior comfortably accommodated our family, and the screened room provided a bug-free area to relax and enjoy meals. Setting up the tent was straightforward, even for us as first-timers. We encountered a rainy evening during our trip, but the tent’s WeatherTec system kept us completely dry, with no leaks whatsoever. The hinged front door added a touch of convenience, making entry and exit effortless. Overall, the Coleman WeatherMaster tent significantly enhanced our camping experience, and we highly recommend it to anyone seeking a reliable and comfortable shelter for their outdoor adventures.

Returned after setting it up in the yard
By Jason on Reviewed in the United States on June 28, 2024
We're experienced campers with a wide variety of camping gear. We already own a 10x10 REI dome tent and a 10x10 Kodiak canvas tent, both of which are excellent quality and served us well when we were a couple or family with one toddler. Now that our family has grown to 4 of us, we wanted something bigger and didn't want to break the bank, so I researched tents for way too long and eventually settled on this one hoping it would be reasonable quality and give us the extra space we needed. Unfortunately coming from a higher grade of tents this was the worst of all worlds. It's very heavy, almost as heavy as my massive Kodiak canvas tent. Setup was nearly impossible by myself, but after 45 minutes I got it up in the yard and figured I could do it faster on the second time. Getting it back into the bag was challenging, although there is some piece on the bottom of the bag you can remove that is supposed to make it bigger. Not sure why they don't just make the bag bigger to start. So I put it away and then waited for my wife to set it up with me at night after the kids were in bed, side by side with the kodiak. I don't love setting up the kodiak but it goes up much, much faster than the Coleman and I can do it by myself. We timed it, and with 2 of us we got the Coleman halfway assembled in 12 minutes, but then there are probably another 20 minutes of staking out guy lines, draping the rain fly and staking that out, inserting the door poles, hanging the center divider, etc. And since one of us has to wrangle small children at a campsite, that means the other is going to be messing around with this tent mostly single-handedly. Next to the Kodiak, we realized that the interior space is about the same, only a bit more rectangular in the coleman (9x11 vs 10x10). So the primary reason we bought it, which was to have more space for the kids, was not really there. And coming from higher-grade (and higher-priced) camping gear this tent just felt like cheap junk, with low-quality zippers, poles that were showing signs of rust after just one setup in our yard, and a difficult setup with poor instructions. It's not all bad. The little side door that just opens and shuts with no zippers is a nice touch, and the screened in area was nice enough that we considered keeping the tent. But after we spent almost 10 minutes trying to get it compact enough to get back in the bag we agreed that we hated it and were sending it back. If it's all you can afford, it will be fine. But if you can stretch your budget to get something that's easier to set up and uses higher quality components, you'll be glad you did. And if you want more room for your family, get the 10x14 version of this that doesn't have the screen room.
