Hoping for the fantastic quality I have found in the pST and Viper ...

This is the least expensive Vortex scope I have. I paired it with a marlin 60, 22LR for servicing varmints around the farm. Hoping for the fantastic quality I have found in the pST and Viper HS, but not really expecting it, I fearlessly bought it for the reputation and unmatched warranty. I put it through a 10 MOA box test yesterday. This $180 scope performed as well as any other Vortex scope I have, returning back to zero every time. All of the adjustments of the turrets had precise and expected shifts of point of impact. That cannot be said for any of the leupold scopes or Bushnell scopes I have ever had. I still have a remington 700ADL, 6mm with a Leupold 4.5-14 x50 VXIII ($759 scope) that will not go to dead center bull. The 1/4" clicks are sometimes 1/2" and sometimes don't seem to move it all. I have had it for many years and like my old Red Rider BB gun, I just know it is 1/2" high and right. All of the Vortex scopes have machined turrets under the caps. Which means you don't need to use a coin or tool to make the adjustment. They have easy to see and accurate graduations on the turrets so you don't need to count the clicks. And when you turn the 1/4 moa turret 6 clicks, down range the POI shifts 1.5 inches. Thats how a scope should perform. This $180 scope performs as well as its sibling Viper HS and PST. Unbelievable! Very clear glass, solid material, unmatched warranty and the best performance in a scope under $1000. Buy two and turn a friend on to Vortex scopes. I can't say enough good about them

Short eye relief.
By StanD on Reviewed in the United States on October 18, 2025
Very short eye relief. Purchased last year and didn't mount until this summer. That's when I realized the 3.3 in of eye relief is so short that I would need to install a picatinny rail, which I don't want to do, and the scope would be too close for hunting.Just purchased another brand.
