Update: Great Steal!!! You even have steel on the bat which is not even tin metal!

Cold Plastic more like it!!! When I opened it I said this sure is light to supposed to be steel. I took my steel knife and hit it and when it didn’t clank I said, “you’ve been had!” So here is the low down: The bat is made of polypropylene material. What’s polypropylene, and what’s it used for? Polypropylene is a plastic. Of the commercial plastics on the market today, polypropylene is considered one of the safest. It’s FDA-approved for food contact, so you’ll find polypropylene in food containers like those that hold yogurt, cream cheese, and butter products. Because it has a high heat tolerance, it’s also often used in packaging of food that can be heated in a microwave. Some surgical devices and implants are also made of polypropylene, and polypropylene fibers are commonly used to weave area rugs for indoor and outdoor use. Is it safe? Polypropylene, which is derived from petroleum, is considered by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to be a safer choice than some other types of plastics. It’s not known to cause cancer in humans, and it’s less flammable in fabrics than wool. It’s important to note, however, that some newer research does point to toxicity in certain polypropylene containers. The researchers in a 2019 study looked at many kinds of plastic in a wide range of products. They found that the toxicity of a particular plastic varied dramatically from product to product because of each product’s manufacturing process. In this study, researchers found that some polypropylene products affected androgen hormones and caused a toxic or stress response in cells. More research is needed, especially since plastics are chemically complex, and each product could have different effects. This research hasn’t changed the FDA’s or the EPA’s recommendations for the use of polypropylene. Update: I purchased this bat to carry with me up in my attic. As a woman living along can be trying, and at the same time in my opinion just what a body needs who has had enough nonsense to last a lifetime which is why I moved into a home in May 2004 to be by myself and have peace of mind. Unfortunately it’s been nothing short of, “Hell on Earth”. So at my wits end I turned to the Amazing Amazon for back up. Hahahahaha I love Amazon they are always there to help me with what I need on a lot of things I ‘d otherwise have to delay or abandon getting what I desire to get done, done. I can’t thank the market place enough. I purchased the bat that I thought would act as reinforcements to let those who’ve been breaking into my gated community home for years nonstop, and taking advantage of the fact that I am single a person who enjoys being alone and rarely entertain visitors. These criminals have taken over my attic and it’s now a construction sight where all the real wood beams and planks have been replaced with cheap-o particle boards and other nonsense. It would not surprise me if it crashed on my head and killed me which makes me wonder if someone has taken out janitorial insurance on me in order to collect from the well orchestrated demise that they have for years likely to collect on and this is neither delusion or paranoia. It’s was being done while I slept and I heard nothing until one day I heard something up top and went up to see what the noise was, and low and behold I could not believe my eyes. Criminals have moved in and are taking over my home and are devaluing, defacing and deconstructing my house. I get no help from HOA security , local authorities or the feds. We are living in dastardly times, and when you try to get assistance what you get is the Cassandra affect. Told that you’re delusional and useless theatrics from the very ones you’re supposed to depend on. This is unacceptable because no homeowner in our country should have to endure such brazen and blatant tactics to live in a free society. I ask none for anything, I trouble no one, I live extremely quiet and unnoticeably. What goes on on the other side of the door I am not privileged or a party to. Peace is all I desire and require. So I have had to take all into my own hands. Ladies who might read this post, I have used this bat to slow down the illegal process of what’s taking place here until I can figure out how to proceed next. I put this bat to the test and it gave under pressure. This item unfortunately will not get it done. You may not want to rely on this for self defense or use it to hit a real baseball either, because when it gives there is no way of telling which directions the pieces are going to fly. I take nothing away from the makers because I am about safety for all, and anyone whose heart is set in this same direction as long as they are on the up & up has my gratitude for their efforts. So what I am saying is that if you are like me and may not know your own strength, you may likely need to consider other options for hand held self defense because I’d rather that all be safe than sorry. It is totally ok if you still want to purchase this product, just rethink using it where protection is a concern if you’re depending on it to take down any opponent(s). To all I wish you safe. Amazon thanks for giving us a platform in the way of reviewing because we are able to share, and sharing is caring.
