A Solid Choice for Those With Limited Space
By 33yamamoto on Reviewed in the United States on July 29, 2018
I have been using the 50lb adjustable dumbbells (which are terrific once you get past the fact that they kind of look like toasters) and had been eyeing this portable bench for quite some time. When the price dropped by about $30 or so I took the plunge. For what it is, it's a solid bench especially for someone like me with limited space at home. It works great as a standard bench, although if you want to use it for incline bench press I recommend placing a standard-sized cinder block under the legs by your head so the widest side of the cinder block is on the ground. This gives an angle closer to that in a gym while keeping the bench stable. For reference, I am 6'2" and about 175lbs. Pros: Very stable Relatively lightweight Comfortable padding Easy to fold up and store when not in use Cons: Very disappointed when I turned the bench over to see a Made In China sticker. I'm not necessarily against buying items made in China (hello, smartphone), but as the dumbbells are stamped "Made in USA", I expected to see the same on the bench. Alas, it wasn't so. I am curious to see how this holds up across several months of regular use, so will update my review in a few.

A little shaky sometimes honestly but it's definitely a great light weight small workout bench if you're cramped for space. Also, I've actually been able to use the incline on it and it's been okay for me but I'm 5 9. So I wanted to change my review after a year or two of use now. I'm realizing just how quite small and short the bench is. Getting into position for bench press, if you're tall, your back has to extend quite a bit before you reach the bench and with heavy Dumbbells I find my lower back cracks a bit every time. I've tried everything like kicking the Dumbbells off my quads, bringing my feet and legs back closer to the bench before putting my back on it and nothing seems to work. Still that cracking bone on vine grinding in the lower back so I'm chalking it up to being because it's a little too low to the ground. So I guess if you're 5'8 or less it might be good for you. Also, the bench is a bit narrow. As my back has gotten wider and stronger from hypertrophy, I find I feel much more unstable on the bench now and when doing dumbbell chest presses my shoulders it feels unstable and comfortable for my shoulders.
