BLACKHAWK Omega Elite Dual M16 Mag Pouch

I found this item to be very versatile, attractive, adjustable, comfortable, and sturdy. For it's intended use, it holds all the magazines splendidly and rides in just the right spot. The leg straps are rubber and grip well to clothing for a decent immovable ride. The velcro and snaps feel like they are very sturdy and will not give out soon/ 5 stars for a well made and functional product.

The build quality is great, but in the end I had to return it because: 1) The M4 mag pouch is too small for mags with ranger plates, and even normal mags are a very tight fit. 2) I had to hide the leg straps that were loose after adjustment, which might come back out with a lot of movement. (and I have average size thighs). 3) The holding compartment as a whole keeps it's squared shape, protruding off your leg, rather than wrap/curve around your thigh. This can get caught on other equipment or your environment.

this thing works great the elastic across the Rifle mags pouch hold the mags in very tight. the two pistol mag pouches are adjustable for standard and high cap mags. but what i don't like about it, is the snap closer on the rifle magazine it takes two hands to close and snap the connector.

I've had this drop pouch now for 4 years. It's been deployed operationally for 3yrs and still a daily must have. It holds my extra mags for my gun and rifle when I have to use a heavy vest (Just my preference). As stated in an earlier review, this drop pouch needs a quick disconnect provided. I bought the quick clip buckle mod and it all has worked fine for 4yrs. This product comes and goes. Now that it is in stock, I would suggest if you need it get it. BH tends to produce this pouch in limited numbers and then nothing until they get inundated with requests. Even then it takes awhile to get the inventory up to bring the cost back down to less than $120. BH has no plans to modify this drop pouch for the serpa platform or any other colors either (I've asked many times).

As usual, Blackhawk! has designed a great piece of kit. I often modify equipment to better suit my use, but the designs of Blackhawk! are far more likely to be used as is. The pouch is also very well made and should prove quite durable. If that is not the case, I will both amend my review and be quite surprised.

Thank you Blackhawk for another great product. Holds 2 M4 mags snuggly in place, but don't think you will be able to cram the 2nd one back in under stress. The elastic will hold 1 mag in place if the snap comes undone, but that makes for a snug fit with 2. Side pistol mag pouches work great. Puts your mags out of the way and at your fingertips when needed. Great product, HIghly recommend.

Strong and easy to use. It keeps my pistol and M16 magazines within easy reach and will stand the test for any use. I recommned this pouch for those in need of tactical gear.

All in all a good product; a little stiff out of the box but some use will fix that. I wish the handgun pouch's were big enough to support two mags but other than that a good product.
