Muck Boots Chore Classic Tall Work Boots

These are pretty much the boots to get if you do rough work in the mud. Cheaper rubber boots will often get a leak after any rough use in the field. That being said - I was hoping the lower coating of these would be a bit tougher, especially since they're offered with a steel toe. I had a pair that developed a hole on the top of the foot after just a few days of use. Upon closer inspection, it looks like there was a weak zone in the reinforced coating just behind the toe-box that worked its way into a hole through the lining just while walking around and working the material. MuckBoots was useless in trying to get a replacement - luckily Amazon was able to get them changed out for me since it was a factory defect. Since these were the toughest boots that I could find with a steel toe I suppose I'm stuck with them, however I try to wear my leather Red Wings as often as I can unless I'm really going to be in deep mud or water. I'm confident that anything that is heavy enough to make the steal toe needed will put a hole through the boot upper material, without a doubt.
