Finally, a bed for the giant bananas of the world.
Being a giant, human-sized, living, breathing, walking, talking banana has its drawbacks.
At times it can be fun. People like saying hi to the giant banana walking down the street, and they buy me drinks and meals (yes, I eat and drink), but when I try to go to sleep, I can never find a comfortable place to lie down and catch a wink. Until now. So thank you, Yukon Outfitters, for this Parachute Hammock.
I can't even begin to tell you how many trips I took to the mattress store where a salesman was convinced that he had found the perfect mattress for me. He'd get me to lie down on foam, memory foam, spring mattress, and various forms of "space age technology," but none of it gave me the comfort I so deeply desired.
My perfectly rounded body couldn't relax as I rested my stem on the pillow and looked up at the ceiling. All I could feel was myself teetering and tipping, and who wants to do that while they're trying to sleep?
Then I found this hammock. Putting it between two poles, or two trees, I get the full curve I need for a restful night's sleep. Heck, with the mosquito net set up, I can even keep bugs off me! If you don't think that feature's useful, try being a banana in the middle of summer!
Anyway. I don't know who at Yukon Outfitters decided to take the time to think of the bananas of the world, but I thank them. I truly do.
