Celtics' great Tom Heinsohn has personally hand-signed this indoor/outdoor basketball and inscribed it "Boston Strong". Tom Heinsohn played ten seasons with the Boston Celtics between 1956 and 1965. During this stretch, the Celtics enjoyed a streak of unparalleled dominance, winning eight NBA titles. Heinsohn was a key piece of these championship teams as a six time All-Star and a four time All-NBA Second Team. Upon his retirement, the Celtics honored him by retiring his number 15 jersey. Following his successful career as a player, Heinsohn joined the Celtics as a coach, winning the NBA Coach of the Year Award in 1973 and two more NBA titles in 1974 and 1976.
