The patent-pending CaraClaw - Carabiner Knife is made up of a stainless steel lock mechanism with a rubber coated heavy duty nylon handle. The blade is solid and made from 440 stainless steel and comes razor sharp! The blade locks out and has a release button on the side of the carabiner.
The overall weight of the CaraClaw is extremely light at only 2.8 ounces! It is 3 3/4 inches long from top to bottom with the blade closed. The 440 stainless steal blade is 1 1/8 inches long from top to bottom (not taking into account the curve). You put your first two fingers inside the carabiner and rest your ring finger on the carabiner's tail for extra strength and support while using the blade. - Not meant to be used as a weight bearing carabiner rather the carabiner design is meant to enable one to keep a quality blade easily accessible.
