Roy White was is and will always remain a favorite of New York Yankees fans. The outfielder made his MLB debut with the Yankees in 1965 and spent his entire 15-year-long career with the Bombers. Along the way White helped lead the Yankees to World Series Championships in 1977 and 1978 and earned two trips to the All-Star Game. In 1975 he fielded 1.000 becoming the first Yankee ever to play an errorless season and he had his best season with a bat in 1970 when he notched personal highs of 22 home runs 109 runs scored 94 RBI and a .296 batting average. His best postseason came in 1978 when just after having come off the disabled list he hit .313 in the ALCS with a game-winning sixth-inning home run in the clincher and .333 with a home run and four RBI in the World Series. White later spent several years as part of the Yankees' coaching staff.
