Although Rich "Goose" Gossage played for 9 different teams over the course of his 22-season career, he is best known for his 6 seasons in New York with the Yankees. During that time, Gossage revolutionized the position of Closer, heading a new generation of big, tough, power pitchers to anchor bullpens across the league. A 9-Time All Star, Gossage finished his career with 310 saves, and a sparkling 2.05 ERA. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2008.
