The Kid spent most of his 19-year career playing north of the boarder with the Montreal Expos. However Gary Carter is best remembered for his 5-seasons with the New York Mets and his key role in their 1986 World Series season. That season he hit 24 HR drove in 105 runs and was 3rd in NL MVP voting. During Game 6 of the World Series Mets fans remember Carter as the man who started the now famous rally in the 10th inning ending with the ball dribbling through Bill Buckners legs. Carter scored the first of 3 runs that inning propelling the Mets to a Game 7 and an eventual title. Inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2003 he is one of only two Expos to ever be given the honor.
