The fireROD is simple in design and offers replacement ferro rods that are meant to be threaded into the handle of your fireROD. Exotac offers refill ferro rods in 5/16" diameter and 3" in length for the XL size ferro rod replacement.

- REFILL: This is a new 3.1” ferro rod for the Exotac fireROD when the rod is worn out. Use your fireROD tool again and again with the ability to thread in a new replacement when necessary.
- 5/16" FERRO ROD: This replacement for the fireROD measures 5/16" in diameter and able to be threaded into the handle of your fireROD for continuous use while making campfires, lighting the stove, or other survival essentials.
- O-RING: This refill kit includes 1 O-ring for securing the fireROD storage capsule handle to create a waterproof housing for tinder and other small fire starter materials you may want to carry.
- DESIGNED FOR OUTDOOR USE: The refillable ferro rods are meant to be used with any bushcraft knife to spark a fire while camping, hiking or backpacking. Use for up to 5,000 fire starting strikes.
