Due to the commercial-grade AC motor on the Stride-7s, the product requires a 20 amp circuit. The power cord for the Stride-7s uses a NEMA 5-20P plug that is designed to fit the outlets of 20 amp circuits per US electrical standards, and the unit itself uses a C19 power port to prevent the accidental usage of a more standard power cord.
