Countdown mode will countdown a value during your workout (time, distance, etc.) In race mode, set a time to beat and compete with the computer on the computer display. And, recovery mode keeps track of your heart rate (5.3 KHz chest strap heart rate monitor not included) with a 60 second countdown to end your workout safely.
