Royals' former pitcher Bret Saberhagen has personally signed this 'Pitching' 8x10 Vertical Photo-Bret Saberhagen was one of the most dominant pitchers in the 1980's and spent the majority of his career with the Kansas City Royals. Upon getting drafted out of high school by the Royals in the 19th round of the 1982 Major League Baseball Draft he made his debut on April 4th, 1984. His impact as a pitcher was felt immediatley as he put up a 10-11 record and a 3.48 ERA. In 1985, Saberhagen established himself as the Ace of the Royals pitching staff, going 20-6 with a 2.87 ERA. This same year he won the American League Cy Young Award and ked the Royals to a World Series championship where he won the World Series MVP honors. In the 1985 World Series he pitched 2 complete games including a shutout in Game 7.
