A Woot Classic Moment
We’re too caught up in the frenzied celebration of our 10th birthday to write about today's product. Check out this refurbi- uh, classic write-up.
Looking for Mr. Darkchip: February 28, 2007:
Hi! I don’t usually meet people through online personals like this, but when I saw your ad, I just had to respond. There was just something about your sleek black casing, InFocus IN72 - so lustrous, so stylish, so different from the usual bulky grey projectors. And I’m so tired of the same old big-box store scene, tired of the headgames, tired of never meeting a projector I really liked. Hey, what do I have to lose? Might as well answer your ad and whatever happens happens, right? So here I am.
Um, about me…let’s see. Well, I like to watch movies, obviously, ha ha. I’m looking for an attractive, HWP, low-maintenance projector for fun, good times, and maybe something more. My main pet peeves are ambient light and fuzzy images, so your 900 lumens and Pixelworks DNX technology really caught my eye. And I can’t stand grayed-out blacks, so I like the sound of your Darkchip2 DLP processing. Your 480p resolution is plenty for me – I’m not one of those pixel freaks. But it is nice to see you’re into upconverting. I’ve always wanted to give that a try.
You should know that I have two gaming consoles and a DVD player, so anybody who wants to get to know me has to be OK with that. Other than that, not much else to say about me…oh, yeah, I’m a practicing heroin addict, a very active member of the Church of Scientology, I work in a veal-processing plant (some call it a "slaughterhouse"), and I’m wanted in several states for kiting checks. (Not this one, though!) OK, well, hope to hear from you soon, InFocus IN72! Let’s make a love connection!
