High Peak was started in 1983 by a group of explorers who hiked to the highest peak in all of Germany and built a facility out of trees they cut down and the hides of polar bears that they fought to the death! Okay, so maybe this isn't 100% accurate, but the parts about them being from Germany and starting in 1983 are true, and they do make some really good camping stuff who's quality has been recognized in Europe and North America, so check em out, okay?
