12-Step Fitness
You're familiar with twelve-step programs, right? They're a recovery tool used to help alcoholics and other addicts overcome their dependencies. However, few people are aware that a different kind of 12-step program, coupled with the LifeSpan MyStride Activity Tracker, can also be a great way to stay in shape!
It's simple: You just take twelve steps. Twelve literal steps. With your legs and feet. And your activity monitor lets you record all dozen steps and upload them easily via a flip-out USB jack. It's that simple!
Here is our "guide" to all twelve steps:
(Step 1) This one's going to be pretty easy. Don't get cocky.
(Step 2) OoooOOO - now things are getting spicy.
(Step 3) Are you feeling OK? Take a second and check your MyStride's digital display.
(Step 4) Now you're hitting your "stride." HAHAHAHAHA
(Step 5) Watch out for that daddy long-legs
(Step 6) You're halfway done stepping!
(Step 7) Do you feel it in your glutes? (That's a fitness term for "butt")
(Step 8) Remember: life has meaning.
(Step 9) WHEN WILL IT END, OH GOD, WHEN WELL THE STEPPING END?
(Step 10) If your legs feel like Jell-O, that's just because they are actually Jell-O.
(Step 11) This would be the last step if it were an 11-step program
(Step 12) You made it! You're officially fit.
Features
The MyStride Activity Tracker is more than just a pedometer. It uses a three-axis accelerometer to measure your movement to more accurately track steps taken, calories burned, minutes exercised and distance traveled. The integrated flip USB makes it easy and convenient to sync your activity progress with your LifeSpan Fitness Club account (not included).
- Graphically displays the progress you've made towards completing your personal daily step count goal
- Displays the time, in minutes, you have exercised during the selected day
- Tracks the number of steps you have taken today
- Tracks the total number of steps taken and stores them for up to seven days
- Calculates the number of calories you have burned during the selected day
3-Axis Accelerometer
Your MyStride comes with the same type of accelerometer used in the Nintendo Wii controls, as well as other electronic devices. The accelerometer will sense vibration and shock, providing a more accurate reading.
Stores 7 Days of Activity
If you don't have time or access to your computer, the MyStride activity tracker will save your activity for the seven most recent days, making it easier for you upload on your schedule.
Flip USB
When it is time to load your activity into your LifeSpan Fitness Club account, simply open the flip USB, insert into your computer and sync with your account.
Small, Discreet and Convenient
MyStride fits in your pocket or clips on to your apparel. Keep it with you all day and use the results as motivation to increase your daily movement.

Top Comments are discussion forum posts we have deemed worthy of your time. Listen, we get a lot of comments, and most of the time, it's pretty forgettable stuff; but sometimes you rise to the top like butterfat in milk. We don't recommend you base your self-worth on how often we feature your comments, but we don't expressly forbid it either.
