The write-up says it shoots air-soft pellets, but the specs say BBs and real pellets... I think this is a legit pellet gun, not an air-soft toy.

What gives? I sure would like to save twenty bucks on this, and it will be great to plink with in the back yard. The neighbors get nervous if you start firing off 223's :-P

for real: this IS an assault rifle by the standards imposed in the "assault weapons ban" (restrictions based on cosmetic appearance, not legitimate function [aside from magazine capacity])

also for real, i got this exact pellet gun when i was ~11. as long as not much has changed with the design since 1989, it's a fine air rifle.

notice that the thumbnail they chose for the product is the retail box, which masks the visual of a rifle. i imagine that was intentional.

Where did the shipping restrictions come from? Apparently my zip code is in the list, but I can't find a reason why anywhere online. I'm about an hour outside of Philadelphia which should have the only restricted zips in the state so I should be fine.

Same problem in Illinois. I can and did buy a similar rifle from Amazon with no problem. You guys must be getting the wrong info. Maybe Chicago is still enforcing their illegal (by the Supreme Court) restrictions but not the rest of Illinois (Which wishs Chicago was a separate state and perhaps a penal colony).

I'm offended by how easily offended you are. This is a bb gun that you have to pump between shots. Not the same thing at all. It does look cool though...

What exactly makes this refurbished?

I've seen in some cases where people tried to pump the gun while holding the stock, causing it to snap off. Are these repaired guns that once had the stocks broken off? Just wondering.
