The write-up says it shoots air-soft pellets, but the specs say BBs and real pellets... I think this is a legit pellet gun, not an air-soft toy.

Can't deliver to IL. This just proves its easier to get a real assault riffle than a air rifle in Chicago. God I hate my city sometimes.

Can't ship to CA?? I can buy this very BB gun from any other site, including Amazon, PyramidAir, and others. (Just checked.)

What gives? I sure would like to save twenty bucks on this, and it will be great to plink with in the back yard. The neighbors get nervous if you start firing off 223's :-P

I believe this is the same gun, 99.9% sure:

  • Multi-pump pneumatic
  • 1-10 pumps (never exceed 10 pumps)
  • Bolt-action
  • 18-rd BB mag, 5-rd pellet mag
  • 350-rd BB reservoir
  • Aperture rear sight adjustable for windage
  • Post front sight adjustable for elevation
  • Both sights are removable
  • Weaver/Picatinny optics rails above the receiver, below the front sight fitting and on the underside of the forearm
  • Adjustable/telescoping stock (30.5" to 33.75")
  • Sling loops
  • Manual safety
  • Includes sight adjustment tool

Looks and feels like an M4 firearm.
Shoots either BBs or pellets, so you can use whatever ammo you've got on hand.

for real: this IS an assault rifle by the standards imposed in the "assault weapons ban" (restrictions based on cosmetic appearance, not legitimate function [aside from magazine capacity])

also for real, i got this exact pellet gun when i was ~11. as long as not much has changed with the design since 1989, it's a fine air rifle.

Ironically, you can have them delivered to IL from Amazon. I bought a 1200 FPS Crosman and when the order went through I was like woot woot whaaaat

I assume we are in for more of the same.

Does it require pumping for each shot, or does it store pressure in a reservoir for multiple shots? It's a refurb, but seems to be a great price.

notice that the thumbnail they chose for the product is the retail box, which masks the visual of a rifle. i imagine that was intentional.

Where did the shipping restrictions come from? Apparently my zip code is in the list, but I can't find a reason why anywhere online. I'm about an hour outside of Philadelphia which should have the only restricted zips in the state so I should be fine.

Let's see if I can sum this up!

1)

2) Why doesn't woot ship this to My State? (Because Your State says they shouldn't. They are following the directives of the supplier and local laws, where applicable. Woot isn't allowed to take your word that it's okay, sorry.)

3)

4)

sdfreedive wrote:Popcorn at the ready.

5) Possible actual conversation regarding the product.

Same problem in Illinois. I can and did buy a similar rifle from Amazon with no problem. You guys must be getting the wrong info. Maybe Chicago is still enforcing their illegal (by the Supreme Court) restrictions but not the rest of Illinois (Which wishs Chicago was a separate state and perhaps a penal colony).

Where do you see it can't be shipped to Cali? I don't see that being said anywhere on the sales page.

To the moon with you. This should not be a 'sport' and sold like this.
I check woot every day and mention you at least once a week to friend or family.
I'm rethinking that.

Nevertheless, plinkin' stuff sure is fun!

Detachable mag? Check.
Telescoping stock? Check.
Pistol Grip? Check.
Flash suppressor? Sorta.
Semi-auto? not quite.
Meets the definition of a firearm? also no.

Anyway, back to the subject, this is a great price , but that refurbish thing is kinda worry me ,what ifs ..you know. Anyone bought this before?

You know, it's just NOT Illegal to ship to Illinois. I bought this rifle

Crosman Pumpmaster 760 Air Rifle (.177)

at Amazon (your owner) on a lightening deal at Christmas. It is the base rifle used to make the model you are selling. Same mechanism! Not illegal. So frustrated.

Not a sport item. Not cool. Very insensitive, especially after Sandy Hook, to sell any rifles that aren't completely toy-only (like a squirt gun or a cap gun). Boo, Woot.

I'm offended by how easily offended you are. This is a bb gun that you have to pump between shots. Not the same thing at all. It does look cool though...

What exactly makes this refurbished?

I've seen in some cases where people tried to pump the gun while holding the stock, causing it to snap off. Are these repaired guns that once had the stocks broken off? Just wondering.
