Not really fictional but the sport of "Football-Basketball-Soccer" is by far superior.

Think of it as full contact basketball, on a grass field (only one hoop, and it lowered to about 7' or as low as possible without anyone hitting their head on it) with numerous 1 person teams. Played with a soccer ball.

Basically anything but striking, is allowed, including the hand through the hoop goal tending!

It was a common sport in my childhood, as we had a basketball hoop in our back yard, in the middle of grass. It didn't really allow for regular basketball to be played.
