Extremely comfortable, breathable, good fit, lightweight. I've had two or three pair of these over the years. Def. worth $65. Light on heel cushion. Don't get these if you've had plantar fasciitis.

I used to love Mizuno shoes, but my recent purchases with them have been anything but love.

They still seem fairly durable, but they just don't feel as good as they once did.

I been wearing these since the 3rd edition... good shoes. Makes the pavement nice and soft and saves my knees. I bought 3 pairs. wish i can buy more.

Why do they add so much flash? I mean I'll admit, I'm a Nike fanboy, but at least they keep it simple...and for $140 listing price? Just get free runs.

Very good deal if you are looking for a training shoe. I've tried this in store and it was a very narrow choice between this shoe and the Asics Nimbus 12. This shoe is very similar to the Nimbus in terms of cushioning, but the Mizuno is slightly heavier (11.6oz vs. 13oz). Had the Mizuno been on sale, I probably would have chosen that instead.

I need a new pair a shoes, but I wish they came in wide. From the sounds of things they run somewhat narrow.

Not bad for a year old shoe. This is half of what Road Runner Sports is asking for the new model. It's a Neutral+ shoe, which means lots of shock absorbance and good for mileage. They get decent reviews from Amazon buyers.

I have the cross-training version of this shoe; perhaps the best sneaker that I have owned in over a decade.

When you select the size, you'll see the unavailable colors dimmed. 11.5 is available in White/Red & Silver/Red/Black.

I would caution people against getting this kind of shoe UNLESS they know they need a neutral shoe (normal pronation). If you're going to log any kind of miles, you definitely need to know what kind of shoe to get.

I made the mistake once of being fitted for a very nice stability shoe (also Mizuno) and I couldn't even finish a 5k without my knees killing me.

Since I need neutral shoes and have had very good experiences with Mizuno (aside from the poor fitting, not their fault), I'm in.

Wow Woot, totally surprised to see you carry my favorite running shoes. These bring back fond memories of my first marathon over 10 years ago (still have those Creations actually).

Now if you could work on getting the Northeast some decent fall running weather I will be all set.

are these true to size? asics nimbus seem to run 1/2 size smaller.

also, are these anti-bacterial on the heel and tongue area? I have flows down my leg into those areas and sometimes my sneakers end up smelling like a stink bomb.

and how come they don't have the wave gizmodoodad in the ball area? No need for it in the rear of the foot if one runs like fairies, landing on the ball of the foot.

Runner's World review.

I ran D1 track through college and had my fair share of running injuries, starting with basic shin splints and ending with plantar fasciitis (all due to my poor form). A shoe like this is perfect for a healthy, neutral runner, but like Runner's World mentions, it is meant for a neutral gait! It is a hard shoe with little cushioning, so unless you have great form, you might do yourself more harm than good with this shoe. Personally, I supinate way too much.

Now I stick with the Adidas Supernova series.

Are these shoes strictly for running and bad to wear as normal shoes?

I work in a warehouse and am on my feet for hours at a time. If people can run in these for 3+ miles I would assume they'd be comfortable for me to wear at work?

I don't really know much about specific shoe types...

As the owner of a running store, I can chime in an answer questions a bit.

In general, this would make for a good every day/walking shoe too. Everyone's feet are obviously different, and what feels good for one person might not feel good for another.

The Creation is a VERY firm shoe, so don't expect a marshmallow like lots of other running shoes are. My personal belief is that you have to be a larger runner to really benefit from the Infinity Wave plate design. A smaller framed person just doesn't have the weight to compress it and get the cushioning benefits from it.

They should run true to running shoe sizing.

No anti-bacterial properties that I know of.

If you want a shoe with the forefoot Infinity plate, you have to get the Mizuno Prophecy. It's $200 though. Yikes!

That being said, the wave plate does go into the forefoot. It's the single layer Wave plate though. In my opinion, the single layer forefoot Wave plate is better, simply because it is more flexible. The Mizuno Prophecy is a pretty stiff shoe, which isn't ideal for running.

No women's sizes? Sad, sad, sad. Mizunos are the only brand I have worn in decades; would have been in for at least two. Maybe next time, oh, please?

Um, how does sizing run for these? My current Nike runners are 10.5, but I've worn everything from a 9 to 10.5 in different brands.

Between my wife and me, we have probably had 20-30 pairs of the Mizuno Wave Creation shoes. My wife used to have issues with shin splints until switching to these shoes. She hasn't had that issue since. Now she has me hooked!

I couldn't believe it when I saw my exact shoes on sport.woot today! Good work, woot!!!

I have ordered 2 so far, but am thinking about ordering a 3rd. I usually pay about $100 for these ON SALE. That is, when I can actually find my size on sale. For this price, there was no way I could pass them up.

Forgot to mention, I thought it was funny that not only did I have my Woot Daily Digest email telling me about these shoes, I also had an email from Amazon telling me I could get these shoes for 54% off "today only at sport woot!".

Dude you rock! I've been on Asics Nimbus and Cumulus for some time now and was curious about how these compared. I'm almost due for a new pair of shoes, so I think I'll give these a shot!

I'm usually 10.5 in Nike unless it's a model with a smaller fit and I need an 11. I have a pair of these Mizunos in 10.5 and they are snug on the sides with enough room in the toe. I was about to buy another pair here but it looks like there are no more 10.5 available. I would take a new pair in any color. They are that good.

Another awesome shoe sale on Woot that I want to jump on...and another lack of availability in my size (10.5). Must be a lot of similar-sized Wooters around here...

These are great, were my running shoes when I put a few hundred miles on them. Lasted great, aired out if I ever accidentally stomped in a puddle, and really helped eliminate my shin splints. I've since upped my mileage and these were able to keep up for a little while before I had to replace them due to mileage. Highly recommended for someone starting out in running (like I was) and wanting to get rid of shin splints.

I have a pretty neutral stride, and these worked great. As much as I hate to say it, if you aren't sure about your stride it's worth skipping the deal until you can get that checked out at a running store. But if you know, then these'll be great.

Size wise, they were about what my regular running shoe size is, which is about my regular shoe size (I straddle 11 and 10 1/2).

I've been told that running shoes are good walking around shoes, but not great standing in one place shoes... they're designed to be best for moving around. Normally the portion of the sole of the shoe on the outside of the ball is softer than normal, so your feet can roll every time you step... for standing it's better that your sole is NOT like that.

Also, I too would have loved some women's sizes.

Good to see well informed runners making comments on the shoes here. Does anyone agree with me that Woot should have a system similar to youtube, where one could vote up a comment that is very informative or particularly helpful?

Thanks for the input, I was tempted to buy this shoe but as a small framed runner I don't think this shoe would benefit me.

There's nothing I love better than bargain shoes and I love my Mizuno Waves, but I would never, ever buy running shoes that I didn't have fitted in a running store––unless they were the exact model (and vintage) as a pair I'd had fitted.

Every maker has its own designs that suit different feet, and even if you find the perfect one for you, the maker might tweak that design one or two years later. Even if you don't buy, just go into a running shoe store sometime and try on various makers' shoes. You'll most likely be surprised at how different they feel.
