How do you generate this information?

stnwll wrote:I own these glasses and they work fairly well as long as there is plenty of light. When indoors the video is very grainy. The recording uses mjpeg compression with .avi output file format. Working the button is difficult and there is no way of knowing if you actually hit the button correctly without removing the glasses and looking at the small led inside the arm of the frame. It does not capture still shots at all. The usb interface is standard mini usb. The little rubber cover over the usb port is annoying and never can be seated correctly. I just removed it all together. The framerate seems ok but move your head quickly and it get's a bit jerky. The polarization on the glasses are good and work well when fishing to remove glare from the water surface. Overall I'm pretty happy with them. Here are the details.

You know what these would be great for? Recording all the mishaps and misbehavior of drivers while riding your bike. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzE-IMaegzQ Perhaps could also be used in legal action if a car hits you.

I imagine there are plenty of home made POV movies made with these. If you catch my drift. Wink wink. Nudge nudge.

You were all thinking it.

It says it holds up to 32 gb micro sd card.

Soooo from what I've gathered:
-It DOES have a mic
-It DOES have expandable memory

But
-Does it come with the MP3 feature plus earbuds?

The problem with these chinese made items is that a lot of companies there copy each other's knockoff designs and mass produce them, so to tell one brand from another or even compare quality of the items is almost impossible (I.E. the spec sheet seen right here).

I guess if it's on woot it might be one of the better ones, but who knows, they all look the same. :-/

Don't quote me on that though.

From the POV guy Mike - Yes it records to an AVI file folder to the onboard memory, that can be downloaded to your computer and then edited with most editing software. Each time you turn it on and off it creates a new folder. :-)

From POV Mike - Field of view is 70 degrees, not quite the fisheye lens that most action cameras that have a wider field of vision. Good for most applications. :-)

I love this product, but have no real use for it. Doesn't mean i'm not considering buying it, however . . .

From POV Mike - Biking, Sailing, Skiing, Roller Coastering (is that a sport?), skateboarding (with croakies), frisbee golf, bowling (indoors?), playing tennis, golf definitely, flag football, drinking beer with the guys (oops), watching the kids baseball game, and lots of other stuff I can't mention here. :-)

Yes 72 degree and it does sound. This GoPro 170 degree is pretty fisheye for my taste.

Yes when you plug these in they can work as webcam. Any capture program will allow to select them as input device.

If you want to use these for recording a video for things like car accident or others you would need a date and time stamp

psaux

Bear in mind, the audio recording feature is really a liability. If it cannot be disabled wearing these in any state with laws like Massachusetts would constitute an illegal wiretap (the law is overly broad and routinely [ab]used) unless you had signs all over you informing others you were recording and also announced it regularly ... and even then you might be in trouble.
