I love the Titelist Pro V 1! Great golf ball, even if they are 'refinished'. Great for the weekend golfer!

Careful here conflicting specs on these balls...on the first page it says they are the traditional 392 dimple but on the specs page it says the prov1 are 352 Dimples. what gives

Good catch. I'll send in to get the Features corrected first thing in the morning.

The information on the Specs tab is correct and matches the Titleist site for the Pro V1 and the Pro V1x.

I always thought pro v1 had 392

Also are these red or black numbered. The photo shows black. Red is 90pct compression and black is 100. Thx.

Can someone give a quick explanation of the difference between the ProV1 and ProV1x?

ProV1x spins less than the ProV1.

Pro V1x has red numbers, Pro V1 has black numbers (when brand new)

I have seen refinished, or refurbished Pro V1's with red numbers as well

In 2011, the dimple count was changed.

Prior generations (prior to 2011), of the Pro V1 had dimple counts of 392.....the newest generations (2011 and newer) have 352 dimples

Prior generations of the Pro V1x had 332 dimples, the newer generations have 328 dimples

Pro V1x is longer with less spin off of irons and drivers and the Pro V1 is softer and more durable.

I've purchased these before, and I can't recommend them. The covers have a dull finish with a lot of imperfections. It's like they've been repainted. Poorly. I've had better luck with "recycled" balls. Those have only been cleaned.

Bought these last time around and they were a BIG disappointment... some scuffs, older versions, etc. Won't do again.

+1 Refinish can screw these up bad... aerodynamically messed up.

I just counted one of mine and it has only 349! Damn. I feel cheated.

Guys, I bought 3 dozen of these the last time, not heeding warnings from other people. THESE GOLF BALLS ARE CRAP. There are huge scratches and cuts in 60%-70% of every dozen balls. I can't stress enough. DO NOT BUY THESE. This company who is "recycling" these golf balls and passing them off to us as playable should be run out of business.

THIS.

I don't blame Woot for not being an expert on recycled golf balls and offering these the first time. Or even giving the company another chance with the second deal. But this is the third or fourth time (if you count Woot-offs) I've seen these here and the complaints about quality don't seem to go away...

I bought 3 dozen of this brand the last time they were on Woot. My experience was exactly the opposite of some "repliers" here. The balls I received looked perfect - the only difference is the very small word "refinished" on one side of the ball. I normally play with Pro V1s and I noticed no noticeable difference in length or feel. The only difference I noted is wear. Whereas I will normally play a Pro V for about 3 rounds before putting it in my shag bag, these have a 3-round look after about 9 holes, so they go in the shag bag after 1 round. I think these are great for duffers who need to play a softer ball but don't want to spend $48 a dozen.

Don't see much on compression any more like the old days, but these balls would be the opposite of what you're used to Titleist Pro V1 balls (Black #s) are around 90 compression whereas Titleist Pro V1x (Red #s) are around 100 compression.

I bought three dozen of these as well as the Nike version in previous woots and have no complaints with either batch. However, the only way I ever played with pro V1's in the past was when I found one in the woods (while searching for my own ball), so that may be the reason for my lack of complaints! ;-)

I agree!....

But these look like they are from a different supplier.

Condition last time: RECYCLED
Condition this time: Refinished MINT

Let's hope they are right!

I also bought three Dz. Worst balls I have ever seen - every single one scratched up - returned - later received 2 Dz for free claiming to be "perfect" - if possible they were even worse. Unfortunately, Woot's reputation as a credible retailer got a severe blow!

I bought these awhile back, there was a shipping mixup, Woot corrected it and then somehow the post office figured out the mistake, managed to correct it and I got both shipments. So I have six dozen of these at home that I have been working my way through.

I have to say they are pretty good. I'm a low 20s handicapper and I feel like they are just as good as the new ones. There are no noticeable imperfections in the balls and they play just fine, with that nice soft feel the ProV1's are known for around the greens. If I didn't still have 3 or 4 dozen left I would be in for another order.

Same here, huge disappointment.

I feel like Woot has sold a number of different types of recycled or refinished golf balls. Recycled are just cleaned and are more likely to have scuffs and imperfections that are visible. I know these are the same ones I got as they came in the box shown in the picture, so my review is definitely of the same golf balls for what thats worth. It seems other people might be comparing apples and golf balls...

Would like to ensure that all repliers are talking about the balls sold in the yellow box, with the small word "refinished" on the ball (Not all recycled balls are equal). I have attached a picture of one of the 36 I purchased. All 36 were cosmetically perfect. I can't possibly claim that all bought are perfect but claims of high percentages of bad balls FROM THIS COMPANY seem improbable given my 36 un-flawed out of 36.

I agree. I bought some last time and they looked like they were in a pond for about 10 years.

edit. I think these are different from last time. Mine came in a red, white, blue box

dont buy these. These are refurbished as I bought these in the past. The paint comes off the first time you hit them with your clubs. I now use them in my shag bag.

Bought 3 dozen of these on Feb. 6, 2012 from Woot. I found nothing wrong with these balls. No scratches or discoloring.

Just one warning. These are not legal to use if you plan to play in the Masters next spring. But if you are like me and play for fun, this is a great ball. When I hit into the bushes and don't feel like getting poison ivy, I don't feel so bad just dropping another one and playing on...

I used to pick crates of balls up for free from my local driving range- people would hit their personal balls and the range would pick them up later, mixed in with the range balls. As they only know the guaranteed distance of the range balls, they couldn't re-use the "other" balls, so they'd pull them out, crate them up, and toss them if I didn't take them. I sold about 30,000 ProV1's over the course of a few years; if they're good quality, they'll sell themselves. No, this wasn't eBay, these were in person transactions and every single person was thrilled. I was making free money and they were getting a killing of a deal. FWIW.

Received my 3 dozen today and I am again disappointed. I also bought the horrible balls the first time around and decided to give woot another chance. Mint??? Many balls in this batch have visible cuts, scuffs, bubbles and hazy stamped Titleist and ProV1x logos on the balls from the refinishing process....are they even ProV1x's under there? Who knows.
