Well, how do you fare compared to the Zeitgeist? Chat up your fellow wooters and let us know how lame this poll was or what obvious choices we missed. For example: Was this poll a) STUPID, b) DUMB, c) POINTLESS or d) ALL OF THE ABOVE?

I don't actually watch baseball, I just voted 'slugfest' because, well, slugs.

Breathe me in, I'm yours to keep.

This is depressing. People would rather see something that happens at least weekly than something that happens, on average once every five or so years?

Get out.

Baseball? Exciting?

It was tough, but if the team that had a perfect game going also was winning 10-0, I'd pick that.

It's a trick question. Baseball is only surpassed by golf in boredom inducement capability.

AWYEAH.

I like a good slugfest, but the perfect game would be a marvel to watch.

I'm just hanging out, really.

Slugfest? Some sort of party with shell-less gastropod molluscs?

I've certainly learned something about baseball today. I never even suspected.

A perfect game is 2 guys playing catch for 3 hours. Sooooo exciting...

Naw - what makes watching baseball wonderful is that it's the perfect opportunity to get a whole family in one room for three hours or so, with enough lulls that it's the perfect chance for storytelling and chatting. Unlike meals, you're not looking at each other and you're ostensibly "doing something," both of which result in people lowering their guard (Want your teenager to tell you something? Go for a walk). I learned so much about my family as people when we were sitting around watching baseball.

I haven't watched a game since my grandmother passed away - baseball is kinda boring to watch by oneself - but I wouldn't trade the hours that I spent sitting in our living room, head directed towards the television but really listening to her talk about her childhood, my mother's childhood, my great-grandparents, how she really met my grandfather, for anything.

In your family, it might not be baseball, but I hope that each of you has those kinds of experiences with your family, the moments that stay with you forever.
