Dodgeball is one of the reasons I love working with youth so much... Its a solid reason to try and hit someone in the face with a Throw-able object.
"30.6%-It only brings back traumatic memories." Really? Are there that many Wussies out there?!
If they are going to continue having badminton and ping pong in that 4-year sports thing that just ended, they need to add dodgeball. That would be one game I would watch.
I loved it, but only because I could never be hit. I couldn't catch/hit to save my team, but I made up by being near untouchable, making the other team waste throws.

Same here! Dodgeball was definitely one of the best things we got to play in gym.

It's funny because it's true. Couldn't tell you how many times a jock or a bully got tagged in the face by me or a buddy. it was the only time we'd get away with our little revenge without fear of retaliation. I may not have been big enough to be a football player, but damn could I do some damage in dodgeball. Ahh, the good ol days of dodgeball.

Never underestimate the mental trauma of being picked last!
We had a gym coach who liked to make sure the jocks won. If a nerd or a stoner or a fat kid lasted too long in the game, he would tag them out himself. He was an ex-minor league ball player and a "head hunter." Lots of the "unacceptable" kids got sent home after gym with a split lip, bloody nose, or eye swollen shut. The smart ones learned to jump in front of a lightly thrown ball to get eliminated early.

Isn't that team handball?
