CRKT Folding Knives

Do you find chopping carrots and onions to be boring? If you answered yes, it's probably because you've got a boring old kitchen knife. Well, why not add a little flair to your cooking prep with something a little more exciting, like one of these folding knives from CRKT!

Never heard of this company, but these look average. AUS-8 steel looks like it's equivalent to 440B stainless, which can be extremely finicky with hardening.

The hardness on these blade could be a little higher, but I doubt anyone is going to notice. They should hold a decent edge for a little while, but being 440B will need touching up more than I'd like.

Some of these have better blade materials than others, have to look at specs on each model.
Also, with free ship some are same or cheaper on AMZ.COM.

I've purchased two CRKT knives off of Woot and was impressed by them. Very thick blades and they had a great feel to them. They typically are much more expensive on their website. Buy any of these and you'll be a fan as well I'm sure.

I don't have any of these particular knives, but I've been a fan of CRKT knives for years. I've been abusing their KISS knife as my "river knife" for years and I've never had a problem with it. In addition to cutting its been used as a hammer, an anvil, a tiny shovel, and screw driver. It still holds its edge.

I've also got one of their Gallagher glide locks. The blade came razor sharp and after a bit over a year of around the house use, I still haven't had to sharpen it.
