My default is Team USA, although occasionally there are international athletes I support. I get much more invested in the Winter version.

I favor USA but I just like to see everyone compete and the amazing performances, regardless of country.

If you could tell me where my ancestors came from maybe I would if they had somebody cool to cheer for. Pretty sure I would have to cheer for well over half the countries though if you did. My family has been in the US long enough to mix with just about everyone. We are like the labs of the people world

I don't really see much point in cheering. The Olympics, as an institution, are a celebration of friendly competition between nations--a way of saying, "even though we seem to hate each other, we won't turn down a friendly race." To see your nation win in individual competitions (or overall) might be gratifying, but no matter who wins, the whole world wins just a little more.

Which country of my ancestry? Just going back four generations there are at least a half dozen of them including native american (is this term still PC).
