"142xx" cannot order? What does a zip code designate in Buffalo/Suburban Buffalo, NY State that disallows ordering an air gun? I cannot find any State law or local ordinance that prohibits purchase? I understand NY City prohibits everything, but elsewhere in the State?

My daughter will love this. I'm just starting to teach her to shoot and she loves pink. My only concern will be when deer season rolls around and she wants to take it with her...lol

I'm using stuff like this to empower my daughter. We are pushing all the book stuff but using Martial Arts, camping, fishing and shooting to make her feel independent, and actually be independent not just entitled. I hate that phrase "Hits like a girl", she hits very hard and has beaten and threatened several of her classmates. How hard are these to pump? I got her a grizzly for Christmas last year and she has a hard time pumping it. She's 10 and awesome. In for one.

Would be hard to kill a coon with this, but you could put it's eye out... Frankly a .22 using mini caps would be more effective and probably quieter.

Would you rather pink be marketed towards guys? I have a pink Izula pocket knife (google it) and if anyone makes fun of it, I'll ask them if they wanna feel how sharp it is.

"Lady" versions of rifles and shotguns typically have the stock's proportions altered to better fit female shooters. The fact that this one is pink is just a bonus.

This is a fun plinking gun. The "ladies" designation comes from the lighter weight, shorter length of pull (trigger to stock butt measurement) and lighter cocking effort, which is ~half that of a Big Cat or Grizzly. A can of Krylon Fuzion or Truck bed liner paint will fix you right up for that pink issue.

Yes. This Gamo is powerful enough to penetrate a wild pig, and if aimed at a vital spot, kill it.

I think you should try again to convince your wife that it would be okay, it's hard to accidentally shoot a single shot air rifle. Also the pink color may discourage him from recklessly showing off for his friends. If he really wants a rifle , then he'll accept the color and if he shows he is responsible he can one day have a better one. But don't do it behind your wife's back and create a power struggle. your son will probably appreciate it more if it's a sign of trust from both his parents.

1 - Any chance paint will actually stick to "Tough All-Weather Molded Synthetic" stock?

2 - Why are we over-selling? This thing kicks like a flea. "Butt Plate: Ventilated Rubber Pad for Recoil Absorption"

one brave dude to use it to hunt "wild" pigs here in Texas.

The "wild" pigs here would find it more amusing and irritating than injurious. As a hunter of "wild" pig you would likely be turned into "wild" pig poop.

Penetrate means go through it's skin. You're not going to kill a boar with this air rifle. At most you're going to get it's attention.

There's valid reasons people hunt wild pigs with 7.62(30 cal) variant rounds and 12 gauge slugs. It's not overkill for something that's 300+ lbs.

I don't know what wild pigs look like in your area, but around here anything smaller than a 357 Magnum you might as well not bother, you're not going to humanely kill it.

This is not an air rifle suitable for anything as large as gophers. Only thing you will do is inflict pain and suffering upon an animal. The velocity and impact power here are just too low for anything much larger than a big mouse or small rat.

Perhaps someone with more experience in this particular model should chime in, but my instinct is "no." At the distances you'll be using this, just using the sight should be more than sufficient. This isn't a sniper air rifle.

It is removable, so maybe you'd have some extra incentive to purchase it if you thought you might want it on something else. But just for this item I doubt it's necessary (though kind of a cool looking addition).
