Poll: Biking to work:
  • 5.4% - Is what I do daily! 39
  • 7.9% - Is something I do a few times a week in the summer! 57
  • 43.8% - Would be nice, but I live too far away. 315

Well, how do you fare compared to the Zeitgeist? Chat up your fellow wooters and let us know how lame this poll was or what obvious choices we missed. For example: Was this poll a) STUPID, b) DUMB, c) POINTLESS or d) ALL OF THE ABOVE?

Too lazy to drop off the kid and infant at daycare, return home, then take the bike..

I would love to bike to work. But in Texas, the cars would run over me. Half the cars people are texting, sooooo unsafe! I currently ride with a group and cars do crazy things around the group already.

If I couldn't bike to work, it would be terrible. It's the best way to start the work day.

Same here.. and we haven't anywhere safe to ride with our 6" of pavement before the 5' loose gravel shoulder.
Would love to ride to work.. but I'd never live.. plus the ride home down a pitch black road is a deal breaker

would be awesome if I could find a "good cheap bike" smh. Also, COmpany car requirements hamper this, but that's more bragging than complaining

The humidity in Mississippi is,a,deal breaker... Can't ride my bike to work to a pharmacy job. People don't like buying drugs from someone who smells like an ox.

I agree! However, I live in the northeast and I have a bike path (with woods, bunnies, and birds) for 2/3 of the ride.

I have to change my clothes a lot of the time when I get there, but it's worth it.

I'd love to, but since I use my car to get to various locations and have to carry heavy or bulky equipment it's not really an option.
