A shame I'm too cheap to buy a holster that could accommodate a light.

Anyone know if this works with a S&W M&P .40?

It says most guns with a picatinny rail...so if your M&P has such a rail then I would think so.

It definitely fits on a 40c: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dC1IVuPRHvQ

I got this when it was up on Woot last October for $39.99. This is a fantastic light. Attaches to the Picatinny rail on my pistol (FN FNX-9). It should attach to all guns with a Picatinny rail. Light is very bright and easy to use. I am very happy with my purchase.

Yep. Here's a review with a picture of it on an M&P.

They also mention Blade-Tech holsters in there, who has exhibited exemplary customer service for their products (in response to the first poster).

I understand this division of woot.com is about sporting goods (and shooting things is sporting, right?) and I get that some people _really_ like their guns and ammunition, but… it really saddens me to see this on here. :-/

Thanks for having great deals on shooting accessories woot! I've been putting off buying a light and this will fit the bill perfectly.

Because they for a split second thought it was a bike light and got excited? That's my excuse.

Would you feel better if folks couldn't see where they were shooting?

As a person who recently lost a family member to a random shooter, I wish gun accessories were left off of the site.

Im sorry to hear about your loss Sam. No one can say what its really like until they have been in your shoes. However, without making this political, taking weapons and accessories for weapons off the market will only make the senseless and random shooters NOT fear anyone shooting back. Me, my family, and friends would never be a part of a random shooting. shooting back at at a random shooter to SAVE A LIFE....dang right we would.

I am so sorry for your loss. I completely agree with your comments. Imagine a world without guns; nobody had them, not the good guys or the bad guys. People could fight with their hands if fighting was the only method of settling a problem; I know it's naive and ridiculous to think that way, but, I, too, mourn for all of the grief and tragedy we suffer due to weapons. Yes, I know, it's not the weapon, it's the person shooting the weapon that is the problem.. but, when does it stop? When we've killed everyone? I'm rambling now, but, again, I am sorry for your loss. Take Care...

Love Woot!

You remember the 50's, 60's, 70's? Everybody and their grandfathers (and grandmothers) regardless of what they drove....from a truck to a station wagon had a rack in the back window full of rifles and no one was getting shot at. or at least it was VERY rare. Is it the guns or the people? is it the lack of parenting?....the lack of gang control? rights taken from teachers? Please think about it. If guns were controlled now days the freaks would go crazy without the fear of a good man or woman putting one right where it counts.

Eh, there are teetotalers out there who wish there was no wine woot. I myself am kind of tired of all the mediocre computers.

I don't see why your hobbies are more important than mine. And to assuage some fears, think how likely it is someone is checking woot for a quality light to put on the quality gun so they can go commit a crime.

This is being bought by the good guys.

It sucks that you lost a family member, but your hobbies don't override my own. Would you wish woot never had a knife on the site due to everyone who has lost a loved one due to a stabbing? Get rid of wine.woot for the folks who lost someone due to a drunk driver?

Even if a flashlight were involved(which I doubt) in the loss of your family member that was shot, blame the person that did it, not an inanimate object.

^link to a youtube video review. not the greatest review, but the light looks nice. i especially like the ease with which you can access the switches on the sides.

Remember: Guns don't kill people, it's mostly the bullets.

Myself, kinda looking for a laser to put on my SR9C, but I might get this one anyways (Assuming it fits, but it should, right?). Speaking of, anyone seen a good deal on a laser, or even a laser/light combo that can fit?

They'd probably feel better if people didn't respond with false dichotomies.

Also, for all of you anti-gun people, you should investigate the problem of escalation.

wikipedia entry here.

Because the technology for the creation of firearms is ubiquitously available, the only really good option is to regulate their availability moderately, since stopping their import and production is virtually impossible.

These are simply the weapons of our age, and completely stopping their production and sale is as impossible as stopping the rising tide.

That's not to say that we can't do anything about improving owner respsonsibility, knowledge, and accountability, however.

Still, there are few endeavors made more in vain than the effort to ban firearms. Take a look at Washington D.C. They have a huge gun-related homicide rate despite the district being zoned as completely gun-free. All one does by restricting law-abiding citizens the right to bear arms is further empower the worst among us...

I am sorry you feel that way. But this is an important hobby and passion for people, regardless of a percentage of people against it. I'd recommend you complain to your local congress person rather than to Woot for carrying such an important item that might save someone's life someday.

I have lost family to gun violence as well. If we make possession of guns criminal, only criminals will have guns. Do you think making them illegal will do anything but drive up prices and put them in the hands of ruthless drug dealers who have money to buy black market items?

lega427

quality posts: 0 Private Messages lega427

I am sorry to fill this page with pro-gun rhetoric, however, I feel it is important to voice all sides of the story in lieu of banning all items that may seem less than "PG". This is a community. There are members of all beliefs and creeds here. Please be tolerant and give confidence in the Woot company that they have the best interests of everyone in mind every single time they put an object up for sale on their site. I do not mean to start any fights, I just wish to point out what is and what isn't. Woot does not promote violence and it saddens me to think that by offering an item they are doing just that.

also i bought this last year off woot and don't regret for a second. cc is virtually impossible in many parts of nj so finding a holster that fits the light is sadly irrelevant for me. installed on my xd9

This may be a dumb question given I'm not a gun owner. But besides the possibility of law enforcement, when does one shoot a gun in the dark in a situation where you want a light on it?

Would like to see a strobe mode on this light to make it truly functional.

This fits my Taurus PT640 Pro perfectly.

Not in the market today since I bought 3 last time around (it's possible I've missed a woot of them). I can't use any more...In fact, I only have one pistol that has rails so I'd need 3 more with rails before I needed more lights.

Mostly in a home defense situation, such as a burglary/home invasion. (i.e. You wake up to find someone breaking into your home and attacking you)

There is some debate on the subject, as you should never aim a weapon at anything you don't want to shoot at, but having both hands on your weapon allows for greatest control on the weapon. Some people use a non-attached flashlight instead.

protip: Florida has the most home invasions per capita in the country!

We actually shoot at our range at dusk and in near dark conditions. Sort of a who has the best night vision competition. I would like to try a light at the range in a competition setting. Find and shoot the targets in the least time.

And what of the 100 pound woman walking down the street who gets attacked by a 250 pound aggressor? In a world without guns, the aggressor wins that confrontation. He has no motivation to reason with his victim, there is no threat that can cause him to cease his attack. In a world where law abiding citizens can own guns, that 100 pound woman suddenly has an equalizer...

A gun allows a person who otherwise wouldn't have an advantage or method of defense to suddenly force an aggressor to reconsider.
